Electrician

Responsibilities

 

 
  • Electrical system installation: Install electrical wiring, lighting systems, power outlets, and other electrical components in accordance with blueprints and electrical codes.
  • Maintenance and repair: Perform regular maintenance and inspections of electrical systems to ensure proper functioning. Diagnose and repair electrical issues or malfunctions in a timely manner.
  • Testing and troubleshooting: Use specialized tools and equipment to test electrical circuits and equipment for proper functioning. Identify and resolve electrical problems or faults through systematic troubleshooting.
  • Adherence to safety protocols: Follow safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Take necessary precautions to prevent electrical hazards and accidents.
  • Collaboration and communication: Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Provide updates on project progress and any electrical-related concerns.

    Qualifications & Professional Skills

  • Prior experience as an Electrician in construction or a related field.
  • Valid electrician license or certification.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in using electrical tools, equipment, and testing devices.
  • Understanding of electrical codes and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably within the construction or infrastructure industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team of maintenance technicians.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Portuguese highly desired to effectively communicate with Portuguese and Brazilian workers.
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance best practices, equipment troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software applications.
