Project Manager

Responsibilities

 

 
  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs: Collaborate with the operations team to create and execute maintenance plans, schedules, and procedures to ensure the uninterrupted operation of equipment, machinery, and facilities. Regularly assess maintenance needs and prioritize tasks to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Manage maintenance activities and resources: Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks. Oversee the inspection, repair, and maintenance of construction equipment, vehicles, and facilities. Coordinate with external contractors and vendors to ensure quality service delivery and cost-effective maintenance solutions.
  • Foster a culture of safety and compliance: Promote and enforce a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all applicable safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Provide training and support to maintenance personnel on safe work practices and procedures.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination: Maintain open lines of communication with the construction team, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of maintenance activities. Utilize Portuguese language skills to effectively communicate with Portuguese and Brazilian workers, ensuring clear understanding of instructions, safety protocols, and maintenance plans.
  • Documentation and reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records. Generate comprehensive reports on maintenance performance, including key metrics such as downtime, equipment availability, and costs. Analyze data and identify areas for improvement to optimize maintenance processes and resource allocation.

    Qualifications & Professional Skills

  • School education in degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably within the construction or infrastructure industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team of maintenance technicians.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Portuguese highly desired to effectively communicate with Portuguese and Brazilian workers.
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance best practices, equipment troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software applications.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably within the construction or infrastructure industry.
